Following the Dream Coaching Methodology®, this rigorous program will guide you through ten steps to navigate your career, find balance and manage your health, and improve your finances.
Any pivot that I’ve made in my life - whether it was personal or professional - had to answer a deep, primitive, intrinsic need. It’s been said many times by many different people, but the point is the same: your greatest potential lies on the other side of your fear.
The healthcare industry, especially nursing, is severely lacking mentorship. I meet nurses every day who don’t know which Masters program to choose, or how to advance into management positions. They want to explore travel nursing, but don’t know how to even begin to tackle the logistics. And what’s even worse, is that the fundamentals are barely covered. Nurses don’t know how to eat to properly feed their bodies for their long, grueling hours. They’re not getting quality, restful sleep anymore. The whole mind-body-spirit system is broken.
How can you properly carry out your work - a praxis of care - if you yourself aren’t well?
That’s where THE SHIFT comes in!
I developed this program - with care, love, and intention - largely based on the findings from the landmark Nurses Health Study I and II. This study, established in 1976, and among one of the largest investigations into major chronic diseases in women, shows us that the risk factors that show up in the general population of women first manifests in nurses.
Our industry is quite literally a predictor of health! Among its critical findings, we have empirical evidence that long-term shift work is associated with higher risk of breast cancer, heart disease, and Type II diabetes. Additionally, the inherent high-stress that defines our profession, negatively affects our sleep, physical and mental health, and our overall work efficiency. This study is the backbone to this program and the driving inspiration for why I do what I do. I don’t tell you these things to scare you but to show you that your time and what you do with it is of the utmost importance to your wellness sustainability.
The longevity, flexibility and success of your career will be determined by how healthy you are while in it.
The Shift

In this 13-week program, you, alongside your cohort teammates, will walk through a detailed curriculum, with me as your personal trainer, that covers everything from health and wellness to finances to skills leveraging. By the time you exit the program, you can be sure that your toolkit is optimized for maximal growth.

We will learn about the power and importance of intention. Whether it’s advancing in your career, determining next steps after retirement or how to make wellness a priority, I will help you identify what your intention is for this program.

Incomplete action is the biggest detriment to achieving our dreams. We all know how to start a new project, hobby, diet or fitness regimen, but following through, executing, and showing up every single day is the biggest predictor of success. Here you will learn how to live with integrity by making and keeping agreements with yourself and others.

Purpose provides fulfillment to anything we do, whether it's personal or professional. By understanding the power of purpose, I will demonstrate actionable, easy-to-implement steps that you will then be able to use in structuring your environment to ensure that every aspect of your daily life is aligned with your purpose.

We all have a Dreamer inside of us. But learning how to build a dynamic, intimate relationship with the Dreamer - and the dream - is crucial to finding and maintaining balance in your goals and ultimately finding happiness.

Counter to our inner Dreamer, inside each of us, lies a Doubter. If left unchecked, this part of us can sabotage our dreams. Tell us that we’re incapable and unworthy. By creating a powerful and dynamic relationship with the Doubter inside of you, you will discover where these negative (and untrue!) thoughts come from and begin the road to removing these abundance blocks from your path.

It may sound cliché, but there is immeasurable power in building a solid and impenetrable foundation of belief in your dreams. You are the first - and most important person that needs to be convinced that you are not only capable of achieving your dreams, but that you’re also the best person for the job. If you don’t believe in what you’re working towards, no one else will either. We work together to precisely define what your dreams are, where they come from, and how to use your story and lived experience to make them achievable for you.

Here you will learn how to use all of your life’s lessons as powerful tools in your arsenal in creating daily practices that deepen what you will learn on this journey. In this work, we look at what you have in your current toolkit and design practices that utilize your knowledge base to positively address any bad habits and limiting beliefs that you’ve carried with you up to this point.

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” We’ve all heard the old adage. It’s message remains true: without planning the essential action steps you need to achieve your dreams, they will not become reality. Our goal is to make the intangible, real. That requires getting serious about the dream and the work needed to make it happen.

Knowing when you need help and being able to ask for it are vital skills for any successful person. By being able to quickly and adeptly identify your knowledge and/or skill gaps, you will be better able to outsource help that will assist in removing that potential roadblock and keep your momentum going. Too often we get stalled out in our paths because we feel like we’ve hit a wall when we don’t know how to do something or where to go next. Learning these essential skills for asking and getting help will reveal the entry points through that wall.

Your objective is to turn your dreams into reality. Once you are clear about your purpose, dreams and resources, as identified in the previous nine steps, you can refine this methodology and apply it to all areas of your life. The idea here isn’t to stop once you’ve reached your goal. We have to keep dreaming and remain committed to reimagining our lives at every opportunity.
